He Is Able, More Than Able

Posted by: Evans Olang on: August 28, 2009

Good morning,

Ephesians 3:20, “Now unto Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or imagine according to the power that works in us”

I remember a song I learnt many years ago which goes like this, “He is able, more than able, to accomplish what concerns me today, He is able more than able, He can handle anything that comes my way, He is able more than able, to do much more than I could ever dream, He is able more than able, to make me what want He wants me to be”

Our God is able, more than able, just because we have prayed and things have not come to pass yet does not make Him less than able. He is complete within Himself lacking nothing. If He was able then, He is still able. If He did it then, He can do it again. He is the God of now the bible calls Him Jehovah Shammah to which in other words is Jehovah present. Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”. He is present in your situation today and He is more than able. Nothing in realty intimidates God, though situations and circumstances may be getting worse and I you may feel like He is delaying, know that He is in control. 2Tim 1:12, “For the which cause I also suffer this things, but I am not a shamed for I know whom I have believed and I’m persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day”. Whether we choose to believe it or not He is able and the least time we expect Him to be there and help, that is the time He will show up. I cannot only believe Him for the future, I can believe Him for now (current). Remember Lazarus sister’s only believed Christ to raise their brother in the last day, Jesus came disable the present situation and make it able, he came to bring Lazarus back to life.

Jude 1:24, “Now unto Him who is able to keep you from falling, and present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy”. The opposite of the word able is disable and we know that anyone who is disabled cannot function fully depending on their disability. We also know that when we use the word disable can also mean disconnect, our God is not in a dysfunctional mode so stop putting Him in that mode. He has not disconnected Himself from His children so stop putting Him in a box. God is able by Himself to keep each of us from falling and then present us faultless before His presence.

The message is simple, God is able and more than able. I’ve repeated the word “able” more times to drive it into our heart. Everything that concerns you and I today can be brought to the able hands of God. I’ve said this before, I don’t pray because God will, I pray because God can (able) my ability to believe that He can produces faith to believe He will. Change the way you pray and believe God regardless of whether it comes or not. Daniel prayed and answer did not come immediately but he kept praying for he knew God was able. Romans 4:3, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness”.  Nick Vujicic, a man without arms and legs says, “when you feel -DISABLE, add GO- at the beginning to make it sound “GO-DISABLE” making it complete GOD IS ABLE”. He is one man who has proved this truth. Blessings Evans
