Rachel is an 11 year old girl just diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma….which was discovered in her thigh bone and has spread Her younger siblings are friends/classmates of Adam and Carli.

 

Friends – she is a Sweet Sweet girl…..heart of gold, amazing pianist, and the light of her mothers life and her mother’s best friend.

The test results confirmed today that Rachel has Ewing sarcoma…it has metastisized to her lungs, left foot and there is a hot spot to her skull but, no mass there. They have admitted Rachel immediately to the hospital. They have her slotted to receive a port to be placed in her chest to start chemo asap. Our hope is that it will be placed tomorrow so that we can get this started w/o delay. Our emotions are all over the place and it is difficult to manage at the moment. Rachel is very composed but she has difficulty expressing her emotions visibly. My prayer is that she can let herself go where her heart takes her and embrace it. She is working so hard to contain herself and it breaks my heart. We love all the prayers and need you more than ever as we embark on the fight of our lives. A long road head…about 14mos worth of chemo treatments…May God guide our path and give us our strength…love to all of you…Susan
